Pacific Coast Cherry Packers

Cost-Effective Automation Solutions Increase Fruit Packing Efficiency

Pacific Coast Cherry Packers (PCCP), a division of Sage Fruit Company, grows, harvests, and delivers millions of pounds of cherries from their orchards in Washington and Oregon. To meet the demands of a growing market and maintain their reputation for quality and efficiency, PCCP recognized the need to upgrade their cherry packing line.

With the goal of automating the case flow and accommodating future increases in production line volume, PCCP turned to RH Brown, now proudly part of Bastian Solutions, for a material handling system upgrade. The new system was designed to minimize downtime and be cost-effective, utilizing Sage's existing material handling equipment while creating a robust sortation system capable of handling increased throughput rates and the growing number of SKUs.

The result has significantly exceeded expectations, enabling PCCP to continue to deliver high-quality produce quickly and efficiently to retailers worldwide. The collaboration has provided PCCP with a dependable, scalable solution that supports their growth and maintains their high standards.
