In the News: Industrial Mobile Robot Safety Standards on the Forefront

These are more than just mobile pack mules. These robots have on-board intelligence and real-time adaptive capabilities that broaden their approach. A year flew by since we published our primer, Mobile Robots and Intralogistics the Always-On Supply Chain. The market is now stacked with more choices, combinations and applications. A plethora of variations that pose new challenges for safety standards writers racing to keep up. Mobile robot platform coupled with a dual-arm articulated robot works autonomously processing parts for lights-out manufacturing. Many of these mobile platforms are already in practice or in pilot programs around the world.
