Bastian Solutions (Booth S3646) had a variety of order picking technologies on display at ProMat 2017 in Chicago, including mobile robotic order picking and augmented reality picking with vision-and voice-enabled wearable smart glasses for hands-free work.
“Augmented reality picking uses smart glasses to merge virtual images and information with an operator’s surrounding environment,” said Aaron Jones, president. “The operator wears the glasses, follows the commands given, and scans product bar codes all within the glasses’ display. Combining real-world and virtual information delivers speed and accuracy that exceeds the capabilities of previous warehouse picking technologies.”
