Bastian Solutions, owned by a subsidiary of Toyota's parent company, opened on Wednesday an $8 million, 90,000-square foot manufacturing facility in Westfield that is expected to bring 87 new jobs.
Westfield Mayor Andy Cook, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger and Japanese Consulate General Naoki Ito joined Bastian Solutions officials and Toyota Advanced Logistics for the grand opening. “
This is a great day for the City of Westfield,” Cook said in a statement. “With this facility we are telling the world that Westfield is a place that is open for international development. We can supply and house a diverse workforce here and have the land to build a variety of facilities.”
