Employees from Bastian Solutions’ Indianapolis and Greenfield offices spent a day building obstacles and clearing a trail for the Mudder’s Day Run to benefit Hollis Adams Foundation.
May 8, 2014 (Indianapolis, IN) – Nearly 100 employees from Bastian Solutions and Bastian Automation Engineering volunteered for a day at Sertoma East Club in Indianapolis to help Hollis Adams Foundation prepare for its first annual Mudder’s Day Run, a charity event to raise proceeds benefitting Hollis Adams’ 250 participants.

We were impressed with their professionalism, creativity, problem solving abilities, adaptability, enthusiasm, perseverance and helpful attitudes while designing and building the obstacles for the mud run.”
Employees from Bastian spent the day building, digging, and clearing the 15 obstacles on the 3-mile course. Prior to the day at Camp Sertoma, 5 engineers from Bastian Solutions and Bastian Automation Engineering designed 7 of the obstacles including a few 7-foot over/under walls, a hanging tire walk, monkey rope bars, 45-degree walls, a tight-rope creek walk, and a slide to end the race.
Fohl continued, “Although the weather didn't initially cooperate on their community service day, the employees were patient, and once the rain stopped, worked really hard to complete the obstacles. From our first planning meeting with the very organized and enthusiastic Shelby, to the final touches being made to the obstacles by lead engineer Garrett, we were extremely impressed with the Bastian team and thankful for their contributions.”
The Mudder’s Day Run takes place on Saturday, May 10, at Sertoma East Club in Indianapolis, and all proceeds benefit programming for adults with developmental disabilities.
