Bastian Solutions Announces the Formation of Bastian South America

sao-paulo-skylineMarch 22, 2011 (Sao Paulo, Brazil) – Bastian Solutions (www.bastiansolutions.com), headquartered in Indianapolis, recently formed a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to better serve the growing number of distribution and manufacturing markets throughout South America.

"In recent years, Brazil has become one of the stronger world markets driven by its population and growing consumer base,” said Bill Bastian II, president of Bastian Solutions. “With this growth, there is a need for distribution and manufacturing automation, which makes it an ideal location for our fourth international office."

In conjunction with opening the new office, Bastian has hired three initial employees and will hire an additional five from the Sao Paulo region—including an administrative manager, an additional field sales engineer, and a small manufacturing team.

Guillermo Albaladejo, the new General Manager of Bastian South America is looking forward to the new opportunity and the challenges ahead.

"It is without a doubt the most exciting career opportunity I have ever had. My wife Whitney and I love South America, and I love new challenges in the material handling industry,” said Albaladejo. “Being part of a company from its start, and in this region, makes this enterprise even more exciting."

At this time, the new office is receiving requests for proposals and has a base list of suppliers ready to serve customers throughout Brazil and the rest of South America.
