Bastian Solutions Expands Consulting Services to Mexico

As demand for warehouse automation grows in Mexico, supply chain consultants are needed to design and validate these systems for maximum productivity and ROI.

bastian-consulting-mexicoMarch 14, 2017 (Mexico City) – The use of warehouse automation in Mexico has been on the rise since 2009, and currently shows no signs of slowing down. As the third most competitive economy in Latin America, Mexico is a prime location for manufacturing and warehousing facilities. Couple increasing demand for goods -- both locally and for shipment to the U.S. -- with increasing wages, and the justification of automated systems is apparent.

“Bastian Solutions opened a Mexico office in 2012, but as demand for automation grows, so has the need for a local consulting presence,” stated Marvin Logan, Director of Consulting Services at Bastian Solutions. “Our customers are looking at large scale systems using robots, goods-to-person shuttles, and warehouse execution software. With this kind of investment, it’s critical to have an engineering consultant who has the experience and knowledge to analyze data and recommend the best solution.”

The new consulting branch will be jointly located with the Bastian Solutions Mexico office in Mexico City with plans to expand into Monterrey as business grows. Consulting services offered will include: Supply chain network optimization, process design, material handling technology selection, labor measurement and improvement, implementation of lean techniques, and WMS selection and tendering.
